The Tactual Museum is one of only four such museums for the blind in the world. It allows blind people of all ages to touch and appreciate replicas of major artworks as well as architectural models of famous buildings and cultural objects.
It is visited by blind as well as sighted people, and is a frequent trip destination for school children who are encouraged to close their eyes and perceive the world as a blind person would. The entrance fees come close to making the Tactual Museum operationally self-sustaining, but all new objects and replacements of damaged objects come from donations.
Your support can keep the Tactual Museum open. While the Tactual Museum is operationally almost self-sufficient, all new additions come from donations like yours. Your donations will be targeted to commissioning and buying new displays and replicas, as well as for repairing existing displays that are damaged through the loving exploration of blind patrons.
