The recording studio creates audio transcriptions of books and periodicals on media (tape, CD, downloadable files) allowing blind people the opportunity to enjoy content published on paper.
Each day, sighted volunteers donate their time to read printed publications in the studio. With the permission of the publishers, these recordings are distributed at no charge to blind clients who can now enjoy newspaper reports, magazine and periodical articles and newly released books. They are available for download online, on CD, on USB, and even on cassette tapes. For many blind people, this is a vital link to the cultural and literary sources that they have no other access to.
Your support can keep the Recording Studio in business. Your donations will be targeted to buying the media used for recording, for distribution of the recorded media to home-bound sightless, and for maintenance and expansion of the recording studio and duplication equipment.
