The Adult Ceramics Workshop and Ceramic Programs for Multi-handicapped Children are often the first exposure that blind people have to the world of sightless activities

The Adult Ceramics Workshop and Ceramic Programs for Multi-handicapped Children are often the first exposure that blind people have to the world of sightless activities.

It is considered a gateway program that eases sightless people into the activities and programs available for the blind while providing a recreation-like atmosphere of low-key instruction. For the multi-handicapped it frequently provides the very first creative outlet allowing them to express themselves through the creation of ceramic sculptures and objects.

Trained instructors provide instruction, coaching and lessons on the use of ceramic materials, forms, glazing and decoration as well as assistance with the kilns, spin tables and other tools available in the workshop.

Many of the creations are donated for charitable fund-raising drives or are for sale in the Ceramic Boutique.

Your support can keep the Ceramic Workshop in business. Your donations will be targeted to buying the raw materials for the projects and for paying trained instructors with both handicapped and art training experience to teach classes. Your kind support will be augmented by the sale of objects created by the program participants themselves in boutiques and in fund-raising drives. 2017 The Need Continues

After decades of slowly improving circumstances for the sightless in Greece, conditions for the blind have taken a drastic downturn as a result of the faltering economy of Greece. If you have ever considered helping to improve the lives of others less fortunate than you, now is the perfect time to act.
