The Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece is a non-profit organization subsidized and under the aegis of the Ministry of Health and Prevention. Founded in 1946, the association’s aim is to support blind individuals, reduce the consequences from their loss of sight, and raise public and state awareness of the problems the blind face.

In the space of about one acre, with building facilities that exceed 2600 square meters, we have created infrastructures and services that can meet the total needs of visually-impaired individuals to help them live a dignified, independent and activity-rich life.

For over 60 years the activities of The Lighthouse for the Blind, in the areas of information, education and employment of visually-impaired individuals, have made us the main point of reference in the sector of blindness. In this way we have helped contribute to the understanding of what difficulties blind individuals face everyday.
