'Erinidromia' Peace Run
May 7, 2023

The 2023 participation in the annual Eirinodromia “Peace Run” took place on May, 7th.

The Organization for Culture, Sports, and the Environment (OPAP), in collaboration with the sports association OFKA ODYSSEAS, organized the run. The event included races for school-aged children to adults as well as those with special needs. The aim of the organization is to attract runners from all areas of Attica by promoting the modern history of the region while  continuing and strengthening events in memory of Alekos Panagoulis, a Greek politician and poet.

This was the second year in which members of our blind community participated. Participants wore blue hats created especially for the event to thank them as well as to provide a stronger feeling of unity. Everyone enjoyed participating and drew loud and enthusiastic applause. It was a pleasure for everyone to take part in initiatives and action that advocate for an inclusive society.
